Abstract
  • This project developed and implemented a training program to teach pastors how to establish effective relationships. The author advanced the thesis that all pastoral relationships must begin with God, progress to the family, and ultimately to others. He presented the thesis during eight days of training, utilizing evaluation instruments, Bible messages, discussion groups, and assigned reading. He reinforced the project with a three-month program of planned family interaction, reading, and peer group meetings. Most participants indicated considerable improvement in relationships with God. Over fifty percent indicated improved family relationships. Surveys indicated noticeable improvement in pastoral relations.
