Abstract
  • The thesis of the project is that when the learning styles of listeners are determinate in the communication style of sermons, there is a corresponding increase in the interest level of the listeners and their ability to learn and respond. Fifty-three volunteers of Venice Bible Church, (Venice, Florida) critiqued eleven sermons. The listeners' learning styles were assessed using the Gregorc Style Delineator. Four preaching styles were designed to correspond to the four dominant learning styles. In the three categories in which data was adequate, it was found that there is a positive correlation between a particular learning style and the corresponding style of communication in preaching.
