- Abstract
- The context of this research was a rural United Methodist two-point charge in northwest Pennsylvania. The purpose of the research was to demonstrate a correlation between small-group discipleship and the development of new male leadership in an aging church. The researcher formed a group of seven men who met for nine weeks to learn discipleship principles. The researcher administered measurement instruments for both Christian growth and change in attitude toward assuming leadership in the church at the beginning and conclusion of the intervention. The findings were inconclusive.
