Abstract
  • Conflict within Canadian Chinese churches is complicated. This project develops a program to improve conflict management skills of a Canadian Chinese church. Beginning with research into biblical views and contemporary theories of conflict, the project reviews Chinese concepts of 'harmony,' 'honor,' and relational patterns of thinking. For Chinese, the conflict management style of competing appears to be the least preferred style of conflict resolution, but conflict management education has its certain value to improve Chinese Christian relationships.
