Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to equip selected members of First Baptist Church, Columbiana, Alabama, in servant leadership skills. The project began with research into essential servant leadership skills. A curriculum was developed from this research. The project director presented the curriculum in four two-hour training sessions over consecutive Sunday evenings at First Baptist Church. In the first session, the director explored the meaning of servant leadership. In session two, he examined Old and New Testament models of servant leadership. In session three, the project director equipped the participants in the specific servant leadership ministries of encouragement and peacemaking. In the final session, the director equipped participants in a servant leader's self-management skills.
