Abstract

The purpose of this project was to provide church leaders enough information about domestic violence for them to have confidence in assisting families experiencing domestic violence. The project consisted of seven sessions with guest speakers presenting the information regarding the area of expertise which address issues of domestic violence. The author addressed the role of the pastor in preaching and teaching about domestic violence. As a result, the participants returned to their churches where they implemented what they had learned and assisted families experiencing domestic violence.
