  • The thesis focused on the relational aspect of prayer that unfolds in Scripture, as well as reference particular historical situations in church history where the doctrine of adoption has been noticeably present, absent, or distorted in the practice of prayer. This study is followed by a seminar and a small group study for the purpose of applying the biblical principles outlined in the life of the church. The conclusion reached in this study is that prayer is the privileged expression of the Father-children relationship, fully granted to us through Jesus, the Son. Further, it is a privilege which is characteristically underpracticed and underestimated by most believers; hence, the need for nurturing God's people in this language of Sonship.
