- The author's thesis is that an on-the-job leadership development program for the Stonebriar Children's Ministry staff would improve their ministry knowledge, leadership confidence and job satisfaction. The literature review summarized writings in the fields of ministry to children, children's ministry in the local church, Christian leadership, and Christian leadership development. The author designed, implemented and evaluated a thirty-week curriculum. Evaluation instruments included a pretest/post-test format, a ministry confidence survey, focus group questions, and a course topic evaluation. The group showed significant gains in ministry knowledge, confidence and job satisfaction.
