Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to equip selected believers of Harvest Point Baptist Church, Kosciusko, Mississippi, in conflict resolution. The schedule covered nine sessions held on consecutive Sunday afternoons. The selected group consisted of fifteen believers, and each session lasted no more than two hours. The following issues were addressed: conflict as inevitable, healthy, and necessary; seven intensities of conflict; confrontation and communication; biblical peacemaking; overcoming antagonism; forgiveness and reconciliation; and conflict-readiness through the spiritual disciplines. The project goals were to research the field of conflict resolution, to develop teaching sessions to equip selected believers in conflict resolution skills, and to equip selected believers in conflict resolution skills. The professional goals were to increase the project director's knowledge of ways to strengthen conflict resolution skills and to increase the project director's skill in instructional theory and practice.
