Abstract
  • A congregational system for caring ministry was developed to help congregations broaden and deepen their relationships. The project included surveys to members, new members and members that seldom participate to discover how they experience the caring ministry of the congregation. The results disclosed a need to be more intentional in building community. Leaders are encouraged to engage members and visitors in conversation. New events were held that focused on relationship building. Leaders are deepening their relationships through the use of check-in questions at regular meetings. All members are encouraged to be a welcoming presence. Evaluations of these processes are positive.
