Abstract
  • Contributing to the lack of deep and lasting spiritual (trans)formation of Christians today is a realistic biblical theology of change informing the trainer and the training process. Evaluative research formed the basis of inquiry exploring 2 Corinthians 3:18, its surrounding context (3:1-7:1), Exodus 33:18-19 and Genesis 3:1-6 to form a biblical framework of creation, fall and redemption. The Transtheoretical model derived from studies of addictions and best-of-practice interviews supplied training insights. Findings conclude the vital role of assessment tools, spiritual disciplines, incarnational communicators, message content, small groups, mentors and Holy Spirit dependence for a six-stage model of the life-change process.
