Abstract
  • A Comparison of Biblical and Tamajaq Wisdom Traditions: Insights for Christian Communicators compares Old Testament wisdom writings with traditional Tamajaq wisdom in order to more effectively communicate biblical truth to the Tamajaq (Tuareg) people of Niger. The researcher took a qualitative approach to descriptive research. She interviewed Tamajaq speakers regarding the nature of wisdom, traits of wise people, and ways of acquiring wisdom. She proposed developing 'The path of Wisdom for the Tamajaq,' to present biblical teaching through storytelling, poetry, and song, illustrated by Tamajaq proverbs. The goal is to bring its hearers to Christ, the perfect wisdom from God.
