Abstract
  • Some churches are 'spiritually obese' and 'evangelistically anorexic' spending significant time doing 'in-reach' rather than outreach and evangelism. Subsequently, ministry that transforms hurting and hopeless people is diminished. Churches are well positioned to be catalysts of spiritual, economic, and cultural transformation which requires people of faith to be witnesses, healers and servants committed to restoration and reconciliation that leads to the creation of the Beloved Shalom Community. The ethnographer developed a transformational, missional ministry framework and a suite of customized tools to assist faith communities align their vision, mission and ministries to move people from pulpit and pew to pavement.
