Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to train selected members in Kingwood First Baptist Church for leadership roles. The program presented the biblical basis for authority and the role of leadership in the local church. Although secular leadership material along with material written for spiritual growth was utilized, the Bible was the primary source for discussion. The program gave the participants a broad view of church governmental systems, pastoral authority, and biblical leadership principles. The program also assisted each participant in developing a leadership strategy for his or her ministry. The program was taught in five sessions. The first three sessions were two hours each and the final two sessions were three hours each.
