Abstract
  • This project develops, implements, and evaluates a structured process involving selected church members to assimilate new adult members into Ephesus Baptist Church. The project enlists, trains, and supervises 'Encouragers' to assist new members and conducts a four-week class for new members that meets during Sunday school. Reports from Encouragers and interviews with new members yield a positive evaluation; nine of 10 new members demonstrate increased assimilation.
