Abstract
  • The thesis of this study is that the central activity of the ministry of the Apostle Paul is the oral proclamation of the gospel; all other activities are subservient to this over riding concern and find meaning if preaching is primary. The approach of this study is to use the preaching charge of the Apostle Paul to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:1-5 as the basic outline of study. While the preacher must distinguish between his own preaching authority and Paul's apostolic commission, it is evident that Paul serves as the model preacher of the New Covenant.
