Abstract
  • This thesis describes a project undertaken at the Camp Hill United Methodist Church, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. The project implements and evaluates religious drama as a viable proclamation tool addressing an important congregational issue. This thesis examines the issue of suffering using the book of Job. It establishes a biblical and theological understanding of suffering and addresses the issue through an original drama, sermon and Bible study. Evaluation consists of questionnaires and interviews of drama participants, Bible study members and congregation. Results show that religious drama is a viable means of proclamation in the local church.
