Abstract
  • This project proposes that the tide of decline among contemporary urban congregations can be turned through a biblical understanding of community. As a counter to the current sociological model of community employed in most denominational planning of urban ministry, a more accurate, biblically informed sociology of community is a strategy toll to connect local churches with urban communities.
