Abstract
  • The focus of this project is to shepherd a local congregation into a social justice consciousness. The character of a congregation is determined by its spirituality and social justice relevance. The hypothesis is if members of a congregation understand the mandates of the gospel, they will develop a social justice consciousness. The research methodology is a pre-test questionnaire that quantifies their understanding. Participants will attend a four-week program focusing on the liberation message as a critical component of social activism. A post-training questionnaire will be used to quantify and analyze the changes in attitude and understanding of social justice.
