Abstract
  • This Doctor of Ministry Project was designed to discover how leaders facilitate the transformation of mono-cultural churches into intercultural churches. The author interviewed six leaders from each of five churches in Toronto, Canada, and observed two worship services of each church. Data presented and common themes were drawn out. Writers on the intercultural church postulate that leaders must intentionally lead a church to become intercultural. The author found that in four out of the five study churches the leaders did not intend their congregation to become intercultural. Advice for leaders of churches in the process of transformation is presented.
