Abstract
  • This project concludes on theological grounds that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) is an emerging new world religion that is quite different from traditional Christianity. It wrestles with communication challenges presented by semantic confusion resulting from use in both faith traditions of a common faith vocabulary with substantially different meanings. Principles of cultural anthropology are used to formulate a communication strategy. The project implements this strategy by explaining traditional Protestant Reformed doctrines of God, salvation, consummation, revelation, authority, and truth in terms understandable to Mormon people.
