Abstract

Evangelism that aims at worldview change can avoid two problems of cross-cultural evangelism: cultural conversion and syncretism. This involves correcting worldview assumptions that hinder conversion and an effective communication of the gospel. The resulting conversion is called worldview conversion. This project develops a manual to train missionaries in Japan to use the Bible effectively, leading to worldview conversion. The training shows that the acceptance of the manual depends on the method of training.
