- Abstract
- The primary goal of this project was to encourage the members of the North Stamford Congregational Church UCC to clarify the role and importance of worship and express how well the shape of the existing worship life reflects and expresses our relationship to God. To accomplish these objectives a worship committee was formed. Twenty percent of the congregation was interviewed and eighteen small groups shaped new patterns of worship. In addition, several aspects of North Stamford's present worship life were compared to biblical, historical and contemporary expressions of Christian worship life. After reviewing the data from the interviews and small groups, the worship committee discovered the importance of the traditional way of worshipping God at NSCC. The committee also recommended to the congregation seven enhancements designed to provide relational opportunities for the whole congregation to express itself in worship of God.
