Abstract
  • This project attempts to improve youth ministry performed by laypersons. Most laypersons working with youth have had minimal training in youth ministry. The project seeks to strengthen workers by encouraging them to discover and to develop their spiritual gifts, to recognize God's providential working for profitable ministry, and to realize certain basic concepts that are helpful for youth ministry. The project conducted a five-session training seminar, evaluating results with cognitive and affective survey materials. Comparison of seminar participants with other youth workers offered evidence of significant differences between the two groups.
