Abstract
  • This exploratory study documents and analyzes the primary processes of Christian conversion in the Methodist Church of Estonia during the years 1991-1994. Data was analyzed from 242 surveys and 92 extensive interviews from Estonian-speaking and Russian-speaking persons, from twelve nationalities, professing Christian conversion since the collapse of Soviet communism. Conclusions included the similarities and differences in the conversion process among both language groups and the emergence of a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, and multi-national model of the primary processes of the preconversion, conversion and postconversion periods.
