Abstract
  • This study investigates the problem of cultural Christianity and the special problems it presents at the time of infant baptism. The biblical/historical/theological question of infant baptism is discussed. A process is then developed for the discipling of parents to give them an opportunity to make a credible profession of faith at the time of their child's baptism. The primary training is done by lay people. A case study method was used in the evaluation of the program. The author is Episcopalian, and suggestions are made to adapt the model for any paedo-baptist denomination. Theological pre-suppositions are evangelical.
