- Abstract
- The author presents a typological study on the concept of 'messianic kingdom,' its development in the Old Testament, and its significance for the mission of the church today. The author also discusses how to accomplish the ideal of 'messianic kingdom' in our country, our church, and our personal lives. The author suggests that for a concept to bring an effective spiritual movement, it must start with a principle firmly based on the truth. Let us hope today's Chinese churches will see the truth of 'messianic kingdom' and recognize that salvation is a process of blessings to complete God's plan in creation. This is the true end of salvation. Let us hope that we are not only being called, but also being chosen; not only having everlasting life, but also being equipped by God to fulfill the plan of our Father God in us, and to expect the coming of 'messianic kingdom.
