This project was designed to integrate preaching and pastoral care ministries so that the sermon might be a therapy instrument for congregation members.The project sought through preaching to focus on needs expressed by the audience, understanding that responsive communication might exist between pulpit and pew, even without verbal exchange. The report outlines biblical and theological bases for the concept of counseling through preaching. Methodology entailed determination of issues people wanted addressed; preparation of sermons based on those concerns and summarizing feedback received by several means. The project showed positive results since people found help for issues they were confronting.
