Abstract
  • This thesis project discusses ways in which students can apply feminist hermeneutics to their study of the Bible. Such a study will help them be more sensitive to gender inequalities in the text, biblical interpretation, and the power differential that is still present in the 21st century. Students will see the value of an open exploration of the text and become more adept in applying what they have learned to other instances of inequalities in the world. They will gain confidence to engage in conversation with their peers as well as experts in the field of biblical studies.
