Abstract
  • This portfolio contains three parts: the researcher's spiritual autobiography, a spiritual formation model for Chinese immigrant Christians (CICs) and a participatory action research project on lectio divina. The major theme running through this portfolio is hearing God, which played key roles in researcher's spiritual formation and was viewed as a crucial factor in the model designed to help the spiritual formation of CICs. The project showed that most participants expressed their experience of hearing God during lectio divina, and some vowed to change their behaviour. In summary, this portfolio shows that hearing God is helpful in forming CICs spiritually.
