- This project thesis explores the relationship between the members of New Promise Lutheran Church, St George, Utah, and the winter residents who worship with them. These winter residents have swelled New Promise's numbers at worship, prompting the questions which this project addresses: How welcome do they feel? Is the New Promise community inviting and supportive to them? What more can the members do to provide a friendly, welcome place? In what ways might these 'snowbirds' be willing to play some larger roles in New Promise's ministries?
