  • CORE paradigm: a twenty-first century approach to pastoral ministry
Abstract
  • Through the CORE paradigm, I will present a training program designed to empower pastoral students at Valley Forge Christian College to be healthy in pastoral ministry. The concepts in the CORE paradigm training program are designed to address four critical areas of the student's life: (a) Christ-centeredness (C) (b) ownership of responsibility (O) (c) relational connectedness (R) (d) and enjoying the journey (E). In reaching the goals of the CORE paradigm training program, I will integrate biblical, theological, and psychological concepts. I found the CORE paradigm training program to be an effective tool in teaching students the essential principles to maintaining health in the context of pastoral ministry.
