Abstract
  • This project investigates and analyzes the reasons for loss of member families following confirmation and graduation of their children from Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and School (Springfield, Ill). Adopting a strict Lutheran confessional position, the project makes use of some aspects of church growth and systems theory in interviewing and evaluating the response of former or lapsed members. These studies result in recommendations to reduce member losses and reclaim the lapsed.
