Abstract
  • This paper explores the support of clergy in their work place. Its hypothesis is that an intimate support-group is their most crucial need. The project describes seven dimensions in which the 'whole clergyperson' may fulfill his or her potential. It includes several clergy case studies, an opinion survey of the more than 500 clergy of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and an account of clergy support in the dioceses that surround Massachusetts. The conclusions discuss what is needed and appropriate for the support of clergy where they work.
