Abstract
  • The purpose of this study is to explore how the theology of union with Christ can influence the relational practice of pastors. The study was conducted by exploring several popular resources on pastoral theology and examining their emphasis on (or lack of) union with Christ. Additionally, qualitative research was conducted with twelve pastors who serve in the Presbyterian Church in America. The conclusion of this research found that the understanding and application of the theology of union with Christ had a positive impact on a pastor's relationship with God, his family, and his congregation.
