Abstract
  • With the demographics rapidly changing in its makeup of cultures and ethnicity, evidenced by many suburban communities, the church faces the challenge of how to embrace diverse cultures within its life of faith. The premise of this study is that the church, in its attempt to reach its community, must be prepared to embrace people from all cultures. To accomplish that goal, the context was carefully studied, sources on cultural diversity were assembled for theological reflection, a methodology for a ministry project was devised, and a ministry project was undertaken, which was followed by a comprehensive evaluation of the ministry project. This process generated a ministry project that helps the laity understand and embrace the value of being a multicultural church in a world that promises to be even more diverse.
