- Lay leaders can carry on a small group ministry that promotes spiritual growth in a local church. The project included recruiting lay leaders, training them through a model group process, and then allowing them to recruit and lead their own small groups. The lay-led small groups were evaluated by means of a questionnaire, and the results indicate that significant spiritual growth occurred. The project includes a theological section that analyzes the disciple-making methodology of our Lord, and other biblical material that affects small group goal-setting, leadership, and the groups themselves.
