Abstract

The project described here was designed to develop cross-cultural preaching by which the Christian gospel would be communicated more effectively to the Korean congregation, persons who grew up under the influence of Korean shamanistic ideas of this-worldly blessing. A series of sermons was developed with the input from the project associates to help the Korean congregation understand the Christian message in the context of Korean shamanistic culture and to equip them as ministers for God and to others. This effort enabled the congregation and the Korean Christian Church to grow solidly on the foundation of biblical teachings.
