Abstract
  • The author sought to develop and implement, in and through a small Baptist church, a strategy for contextual mission in a predominately Catholic borough near Philadelphia. Demonstrating the interrelationship between effective contextual mission, Christ-centered worship, and koinonia/body life, he developed a project that sought to enhance all three functions. By means of the ministry of the Word, the 'Balligo Church Advance', and the systems models approach to pastoral leadership, the pastor and church became effectively involved in contextual mission. Library research, interviews, and class notes provided the theological basis for this thesis/project. The project was generally successful.
