Abstract
  • This ministry praxis investigates persuasive preaching. Persuasive preaching's goal is to convince the listener to align his or her attitude and action with the message of the sermon. This study seeks to discover a paradigm for this. The praxis director chose twelve individuals to participate in surveys and interviews. The director preached a series of four sermons focused on one general theme. After the sermon series, the director conducted a ministry program directly connected to the theme of the sermon series. Participants and church members were surveyed to determine if the sermons influenced them to participate in the ministry program.
