Abstract
  • To provide a working tool that will create an awareness of the basic needs of persons with handicapping conditions, relevant literature was examined dealing with persons with such conditions and their needs, using a theological and biblical approach. Organizations working with the physically handicapped were investigated for their findings, procedures and assistance. Organizations made up of disabled persons and a select number of pastors, doctors, and other professionals were interviewed concerning their work with handicapped persons. From these, the author prepared a manual containing direction, understanding and approach for pastors, chaplains and others ministering to persons who have handicapping conditions, including theological consideration.
