Abstract
  • This study reports research involving a group of 25 highly educated and religiously diverse people who met weekly for three years engaging in group exploration of theological questions in order to identify an effective learning pedagogy to assist the theologically inquisitive in their spiritual growth. Findings include the critical nature of a 'safe' nonjudgmental community in explorations of faith questions and of an intellectual element that challenges and stimulates their faith. This study suggests action research is an effective collaborative learning pedagogy for seekers meeting to gain a better understanding of their beliefs, deeper insights into God, and spiritual growth.
