Abstract
  • The thesis of this project is that a seminar in practicing four spiritual disciplines would enable Christians to develop greater heart intimacy with God. Twelve individuals participated in a ten-week seminar while nine individuals in a control group who did not participate in the seminar were administered the Spiritual Assessment Inventory by Hall and Edwards as a pre-test and post-test. The results indicated that the treatment group grew in their awareness of God in their lives. The research suggests that even a relatively short-term practice of spiritual disciplines can enable Christians to grow in heart intimacy with God.
