- Abstract
- The project discusses the ordination process of clergy persons within the Church of God (Anderson, Ind). There is a growing concern among both clergy and lay persons with regard to present processing of credentialing clergy persons. It addresses the question, how can the Church of God reformation movement meet the need of a more standardized preparation process for the ordination of both lay persons and clergy? It observes that problems arise in both doctrine and practice since the polity of the Church of God is congregational and autonomous, and nonecclesiastical government a vital aspect of the Church of God heritage. It provides a model for ordaining and a guideline for continuing education studies.
