Abstrakt

In the last 29 years, there has been a diminishing interest in addressing the issues surrounding abortion on demand from pulpits of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and its predecessor churches. The result is an abandonment by the ELCA of sinners to their own devices, rather than a call to repentance and the Word of encouragement to the amendment of life. ELCA preachers can and must preach to this situation for the sake of implicated sinners. It is the author's experience that such preaching is very much desired by ELCA Lutherans.
