Abstrakt

The project consists of an analysis of the church's ministry to the urban squatter population of the Mathare Valley in Nairobi, Kenya, and it proposes a model for future ministry. It focuses on the relationship of the church and the Mathare community in their mutual confrontation of social problems. The purpose is to enhance the possibility that the church and community will embark on programs to improve living conditions in the valley. Future ministry is expected to cooperate with local and national government in accomplishing this goal.
