Abstract
  • This study focuses on the development of a television ministry in a local church of a mainline Protestant denomination. The author, in cooperation with a team of associates, established a purpose for the television ministry, evaluated feedback about it and helped shape the program accordingly. Research included viewer surveys, theological reflection and evaluation by the associates. This study verified that the original thesis was valid: that a local church television ministry can compete successfully with nationally broadcast religious programs and can lead to growth and new vitality for a local congregation.
