  • The development of a clear, theologically sound rationale for staffing is dependent upon a broadly based, congregationally owned understanding of ministry and mission. Such understanding will result in a healthier climate for ministry, a less adversarial climate among staff, between staff and congregation, and within the congregation, leading the church into the 21st century. Players in the theological reflection are the Christian tradition, the cultural background, and personal experiences. Each player must attend to the other, assert itself to each other, and integrate, leading to decision.
