Abstract
  • How can congregations to whom poverty is not apparent be taught to be in ministry with the poor? This model has been developed so it can be implemented in settings where poverty is not apparent. This six-week series can be offered at a cluster or district level. The series gives individuals an opportunity to encounter the issues of poverty and to recognize every church's role in addressing these needs. Through biblical study and discussion, presentations by various ministries, and information shared by people from other churches, participants learn about poverty, ministries they can be part of, and most importantly learn of everyone's responsibility to be in ministry with the poor.
