Abstract
  • This project describes the redemptive hope that those growing up within alcoholism need not remain amidst the pain of the past. They can experience renewal through exercising personal choice. The author offers himself as a case study. He recounts his experience of confronting his parents with their alcoholism. The project focuses on the influence of an Adult Child's experience on the call to ministry. It examines how pastoral leaders can grow by intentionally approaching personal and professional crises as learning centers that offer hope and the opportunity for healing.
